about

How was Southside born, you ask?

Take the B-Side to Eddie Grant's Electric Avenue 45rpm 7" single, slow it down to 33rmp and rap over it. Throw in some analog synth noise and you've got yourself a classic.

Technically, this was the first ever Southside song. There was an earlier version with M.C. and Skitty but it has been lost to the ages. Thunderball solo joint.

Shout out to G-HOPPA.
